A unique journey into the vast remoteness of Swedish Lapland.
A survival dogsled expedition led by Iditarod veteran Kenth Fjellborg and Sweden’s foremost military survival expert, Lars Falt.

Your expedition begins at the Swedish Arctic airport of Kiruna. Our team will collect you and transfer you to the dog camp and home to 110 Alaskan racing huskys, a warm meal of reindeer stew and kitting up beifing.
We will then get straight on the trail and head off north on the trail to our first nights camp at Kenths rustic hunting camp called Jakkala. Once the dogs have been fed and bedded down for the night you will enjoy predinner drinks and hot sauna and delicious home cooked dinner.
The following day we head off after breakfast and head northwards to the Sami village of Sopporo where we will stay in a traditional Sami camp - we will base out of Sopporo and Lannavara for a couple of days and explore the local wilderness and have lunch at Ollys cabin in the remote hills at the foot of Kourmakka mountain.
Days 4 and 5 will be spent following the ancient Tabac trail and Arctic trail back to Jakkala camp and then we will end the dog sled expediton at Vakkara- Kenth's stunning wilderness camp on the shores of a frozen lake. Here we will practice survival skills and ice fishing and shelter building with Lars and enjoy the wonderful sauna, and excellent cuisine of the Swedish north.
The last night we will transfer by skidooo to kenths dog camp and drinks at the vodka bar of the famous ice hotel followed by sauna and farewell dinner.
Over the course of the week will have driven and tended to your own team of dogs for over 250km staying in rustic log cabins, relaxing after a hard day on the trail in a lakeside sauna and enjoying traditional Lappish meals of reindeer steak or fresh lake salmon, washed down with cold beer, red and white wine and Mumm champagne.

Throughout the course of the journey you will be taught key survival skills by a survival legend; Lars Falt. This is the only dogsled expedition in the world where Arctic survival training is incorporated into the daily format of a long distance dogsled expedition.
Olly will host you for a mid-trip party at Bears Nest, his hand-built wilderness cabin in Outavaara.
In addition, if you have an interest in gemstones or gold panning you will have an opportunity to learn more from experts at The Kristallen Gemology and Gold Institute in Lannavaara.
New for April 2007- if you fancy a mountain sledding adventure please see our high Arctic ice-cap traverse dogsled expediton in "Seasonal expeditions".

We also can run a shorter 3 night expedition staying at both Jakkala and Vakkara camps which runs from a Thrusday -Sunday from Febuary-April 2008.
