Derek Stonorov/ brown bear viewing expeditions and bush guiding- Alaska

Derek is one of Alaskas foremost brown bear biologists and a liscenced Alaskan guide. A field research biologist Derek worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game for over 17 years before retiring to guide select clients, photographers and film makers into his favourite brown bear habitats. Derek recently guided the BBC's "spy in the woods" documentary narrated by David Attenborough for John Downer productions. A skilled carpenter Derek also makes exquisit hand-made furniture and writes books and papers on bear behaviour and campaigns for the fragile habitats in which they live.
