Robert Thompson/ Arctic expeditions /A.N.W.R- Alaska

 

Robert Thompson is a native Alaskan Inupiat cheif, guide, trapper and expert tracker. Robert's passion revloves around guiding his clients in the controversial Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska's most northerly wildlife refuge and his home. A commited conservationist Robert is commited to raising awarness of the negative impact of the US Federal Goverment's proposed oil drilling in the infamous 1002 area of the Brooks Range. To quote Robert; "its a little known fact its kinda nice up here - i want to keep it that way- anyhow i dont want to live in an oil refinery!" Robert is a regular environmental lobbyist in Washington and guided Subankar Banargee as he undertook his important photographic work- "Arctic National Wildlife Refuge- Seasons of light and land."
