Tony Fitzjohn/ big cat expert and conservation legend - Kenya and Tanzania

Tony worked with George Adamson (of Born Free fame) and his lions for 20 years. When George was tragically murdered in 1989, Fitzjohn was invited by the Tanzanian government to help save the dwindling wildlife of Mkomazi on the Kenyan/Tsavo border.

Today George’s legacy lives on through Tony’s tireless work (see www.wildlifenow.com). Both Mkomazi in Tanzania and Kora in Kenya are, thanks to Tony and George, gazetted national parks.

Tony is the world’s leading voice on the relationship between man and big cats and the essential dynamic needed to preserve the predators of East Africa.
