O.S.E now offering bespoke whale diving in Tonga

18th Sep 2006

In September 2006 I travelled with photographers George Duffield and Anthony Nolan and film maker Rupert Murray to the remote island of Mounu in the kindom of Tonga.
Our hosts Alan and Kirsty Bowe live on a small desert island, ringed with white sandy beaches, dense coconut palms and azure coral reefs.

Each day we cruised in their bespoke whale-diving tenders out into the archipelio in search of the massive humpback whales and their young calves.

Between the months of July and October the humpbacks come to Tonga to give brith and feed their young before the epic journey south to antractica for the summer.
Here is a breif visual diary of our adveture. As of 2007 we will be offering our clients the opportunity to go in search of these magestic gracefull mammals, staying on your own island, with expert guides, Alan and Kirsty and tongan guide Lolli.
Do drop us a line if you would like any more information about this expedition.
